With this chapter, we turn our attention to the world of Java-powered devices. Those of you who have any familiarity with the recent history of events in the technology world maybe aware of a certain legal dispute arising between Microsoft and Sun over Java. For this reason, any coverage of Java in a Microsoft-centric book such as this may be surprising. It is important, therefore, that you understand that.NET’s ability to interact with Java devices represents perhaps the best proof of this new technology’s superior flexibility.
