Abstract

With this chapter, the book comes to an end. I hope I’ve been able to give you some insight into the inner workings of .NET via CIL. It’s been an incredible learning experience for me to dive into the world of .NET at a rather low level, and it’s my sincere wish that I’ve been able to transfer some of my hard-won knowledge to you so you don’t have to suffer as much. Before I end the book, I want to share some heuristics I developed as I coded more and more in CIL and with the Emitter classes. I think that if you try to follow them, you’ll make your CIL-based development experiences a lot less frustrating.
