The Menu Class

  • William Drol

Abstract

This is the second of three chapters (and classes) devoted to building a reusable menu service. This chapter focuses on the Menu class. Menus contain and manage related sets of menu items and display other menus (submenus) when necessary. There’s no question, this is the most complex class in the book, so don’t rush. Here’s the good news: In the next chapter you’ll build a MenuBar class. Thanks to inheritance (and a finished Menu class), you’ll get the MenuBar class running with almost no work.
