Abstract

One of the differences between XML and HTML is that XML does not contain markup information. While XML concentrates on the content of the data it is describing, it lacks the necessary information for it to be displayed in a viewable format like HTML. As such, the Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL) was developed to convert XML documents to a browser-friendly format like HTML.
