Abstract

In several previous chapters, we have discussed how to create portal domains, enterprise applications, Web applications, and portals. We’ve also discussed the directory structure and components of an enterprise application. In this chapter, we talk about how to take a portal application that has been created in the development environment and move it to a staging or production environment. Most of this discussion focuses on the technical information required to move all the components of your portal from one environment to another. However, we first look at the process that must be in place to facilitate the portal deployment.
