Abstract

This chapter will be your formal introduction to the Java Bluetooth API. We’ll cover a vast majority of the classes in the javax. bluetooth package and examine how to use them in your applications. Rather than looking at every class and interface individually, well take a different approach by first looking at the basic components of a typical Bluetooth application (Java or otherwise). After we have identified these components, we’ll explain how to use the Java Bluetooth API in order to create wireless applications.
