Abstract

In the past two years Extensible Markup Language (XML) has evolved as the de facto standard for document markup with human readable tags. Since its advent, XML has found its way into a variety of applications, including the following:
  • Configuration information

  • Publishing

  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

  • Voicemail systems

  • Vector graphics

  • Remote Method Invocation (RMI)

  • Object serialization
