The Y2K Time Bomb!

  • Bill Blunden

The dawn of the new millennium signaled the end of my residence at Lawson Software. I spent most of my time working on a rewrite of dbdef. The long hours that I labored to resuscitate this ancient tool were maddening. When I asked him questions about his old friend, he would plead ignorance and then tell me to read the source code, all 20,000 lines of it.
