Abstract

Wizards enable developers to extend the existing functionality of Visual Studio’s built-in tools for creating new projects as well as adding new items to existing projects. At the same time, wizards are not particularly difficult to implement, even though—depending on the wizard type—there are some limitations; but these limitations are very minor, and I will show you a way to easily overcome them using a very simple Visual C++ project or a custom build script.
