In the previous chapter, AnimatedComponent was introduced as the heart of the game engine since it provides the game loop heartbeat that drives the animation. I like to think of implementations of interface ComponentAnimator, then, as the brains of the game since they provide the game-specific logic that decides how to move things about the screen and respond to user inputs.
