Abstract

In this chapter, we’ll take a good look at PHP. Although Dreamweaver MX 2004 provides you with an excellent interface for doing a large number of PHP programming-related tasks, it’s always good to know about the language you are using. So, in this chapter, you’ll see how the underlying PHP language operates. In the next chapter, we’ll introduce the MySQL relational database management system (RDMS) and the structured query language (SQL).
