SCSI: The Specification, Architecture, and Command Set

  • Daniel J. Worden

Abstract

In the previous chapters, you’ve seen many of the physical media options for transporting data and commands across a storage network. The electronic and photonic properties of copper and fiber optics provide a set of capabilities appropriate to a wide range of purposes. At this point, you should be quite clear on the differences between Ethernet and Fibre Channel (FC) at the lower two layers of the ISO stack.
