Y.O.U MayHAVE Alredy I!: Spam

  • John Biggs

Abstract

It was easy to track down Alan Ralsky, spam king. His email addresses, phone numbers, and home address were everywhere: old newsgroup postings, a few online databases, even in news articles posted on sites frequented by system administrators. Anti-spammers all over the world have made a nemesis out of Ralsky, a Moriarty to their sure and constant Holmes. They say he’s a particularly virulent example of everything that’s wrong with unsolicited commercial email. In fact, for a short while, Alan Ralsky was the most hated man on the Internet, and to some people he’s still the epitome of electronic hubris.
