Abstract

As Marilyn Monroe and Jack Lemmon showed on the big screen, some like it hot. It follows, then, that some like it cold, some like it lukewarm, and some don’t care what temperature it is. People prefer different things, and want to work with your applications in different ways. Your applications should not only accommodate different preferences, but also must plan for them by making preference specification integral to their interfaces.
