Abstract

Although Samba is is an important server, it’s often not the only server that runs on a computer. When Samba runs alongside another server, the two may need to interact in some way—most often because they must access the same files. Understanding how Samba interacts with other servers can, therefore, help you to avoid problems by setting up both servers so that they don’t cause conflicts.
