Delivering Dynamic Content

Any Web site of moderate complexity will need to deal with the issue of generating dynamic content. Although the development Web applications is often seen purely as a programming problem, particularly by Web developers, there are many aspects to generating content on the server that are crucial from the administration point of view—in particular, performance, resource usage, and of course security. Indeed, much of Apache’s functionality—and much of the content of the rest of this book—is ultimately concerned with the generation of content dynamically.
