Abstract
As far as Web server security is concerned, CGI scripts are often the focus of most concern, as Chapter 6 covers in some detail. Consequently, many servers that allow users to add files disable CGI and any other kind of executable content as a matter of course. This isn’t a practical solution in many cases, however, and CGI is far from the only security issue for Web server administrators to worry about. Apache is after all only as secure as the machine it runs on.
