Case Study C: SilverlightPagingSystemProject

What this chapter covers:
  • Creating a Silverlight 1.1 project

  • Creating styled Rectangles and placing them in a Grid to act as navigation buttons

  • Creating XAML UserControls that will be sections that are loaded when a navigation button is clicked

  • Creating variables in C# that instantiate the XAML sections

  • Loading in the section that corresponds to the navigation button that was clicked and unloading any previously loaded sections

This being the first of two Silverlight-specific chapters, in order to work through this case study and the one in the next chapter, you will need to download and install the Silverlight 1.1 Alpha Refresh developer plug-in from, com/silverlight/installation-win-dev.aspx. I instructed you to do this in Chapter 1, but I want to mention it here again in case you didn’t install it then, as you will need this plug-in to work through this chapter.
