Abstract

One of the biggest problems with software applications is designing them efficiently so that they run under an optimal load. All too often applications work fine under an average number of users. When a higher-than-expected load of users accesses the application, problems typically occur, usually because of poorly designed algorithms or code that assumed only a specific load.
