Abstract

As described in Chapter 11, SQL Server 2005 presents a new level of XML integration. As part of that integration SQL Server provides the new xml data type and new options for converting relational data to XML format via the SELECT query’s FOR XML PATH clause. This chapter discusses how to get the most out of SQL Server’s implementation of the powerful and flexible XPath and XQuery standards.
