Abstract
The JDK documentation itemizes Java SE 6’s many security enhancements on its Java 6 Security Enhancements page (http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/security/enhancements.html). This chapter discusses two new security APIs supplied with Java SE 6 for dealing with smart cards and digital signatures.
