Summary

In this chapter, I have hopefully dispelled one of the foremost misconceptions concerning Ajax and security, that separate provisions must be made for an Ajax application. As you’ve seen, by adhering to recognized .NET security standards, we are able to maintain the same level of protection that typical ASP.NET processes enjoy. The .NET 2.0 Framework has been kind enough to provide us with an exemplary set of security components that we can readily implement with our dynamic web applications.

In the next chapter, we’ll shift our focus towards site performance and the availability of monitoring tools for an Ajax application.
