Summary

In this chapter, you learned how to design and implement a simple connected system from scratch using the Application Designer. This included defining the application prototypes, connecting them via exposed endpoints, and defining the operations on the web service. You then implemented your design, creating both a web application and web service connected to your local database. Finally, you imported an existing WSDL endpoint. This chapter also introduced constraints and settings. Finally, you learned how to reverse-engineer an entire application in the Application Designer.

In the following chapter, you will use the Logical Datacenter Designer to create an environment in which to deploy your sample application.
