Abstract

With so many different ways to process a document, it is often difficult to decide which is the best method. This chapter will cover the strengths and weaknesses of the different parsing methodologies to help you make an educated decision about which will work best for you. In some cases, a single technology may not be enough, so this chapter will also cover how to effectively combine technologies. By the end of this chapter, you should be able to determine which technologies fit your needs and understand how to use them together to effectively and efficiently process XML.
