Getting Hardware Up and Running

In this chapter, we explored the possibilities offered by the YaST2 program when it comes to configuring hardware. Additionally, we looked at setting up some common software packages.

We stepped through getting online with SUSE Linux (including joining a Wi-Fi network), configuring e-mail and instant messaging, adding and configuring a printer, setting up a digital camera and/or scanner, and configuring a 3D graphics card.

In Chapter 9, we move on to look at how you can ensure the security of your system.
