Abstract
The first paradigm which we need to consider is the idea that social science does not in any serious way differ from natural science. Its origins go back at least as far as Auguste Comte. But it is important to point out that there is at least as much management research going on that attempts to mirror natural scientific methodologies as uses approaches specific to social science. It is alive — at least in the hands of its adherents.
