The phase separation regions of the systems B03—Mo03—CoO and B203—Mo03-Fe2O3 were determined. The presence of different types of heterogeneous structures composed of glassy and crystalline phases was proven. In compositions located on the immiscibility-crystallization boundaries, complex micro-aggregates were observed by TEM. The crystalline phases were identified by XRD analysis. IR spectra of homogeneous glasses outside the immiscibility gap possess an intensive band at about 1100 cm−1 and bands with lower intensities around 860–680 and 470 cm−1. It is suggested that the amorphous network is build up by non-associated B03 and B04 groups together with Mo06 and Co06 units.
