Abstract

Since the effective resolution of classical airborne cameras and even more so their radiometric performance were determined to a large extent by the film, these cameras were calibrated with regard only to image geometry and the limit of resolution of the lens. In the case of digital cameras, however, a complete calibration can be carried out at the system level, including effective resolution and spectral responsivity.
