An effective ventilation till now is the first and most widely applicable method to control methane accumulations and possible gas contaminations in work ings and explosions of methane. Five forms of methane preservation in a coal rake are known, but the principal cause of its evolution in mine workings is an increased gas pressure being in a compressed position. The thermal catalytical burning of methane for the out coming stream of the working area was offered. The a unit for burning of mine methane both for depleted methane-and-air mixtures of out coming streams of a mine and for those extractable by systems of mine degassing has been developed too.
