HALO MASS PROFILES OF LOW SURFACE BRIGHTNESS GALAXIES
A recent study has claimed that the rotation curves of Low Surface Brightness (LSB) galaxies are largely consistent with CDM simulations, contradicting a large body of observational work that appears to show that the CDM-characteristic steep mass-density cusps are absent in real galaxies. I describe an improved analysis method that shows that only a small minority of LSB rotation curves is possibly consistent with CDM simulations. The large majority prefer semi-constant kpc-sized mass-density cores.
