In this paper, we intend to clarify some conceptual issues of geostatistical simulation such as reproduction of the model covariance, equi-probability, independence, etc. We also introduce discussions on the confusion between simulating ergodic random functions and sampling random vectors. Our focus is on the interpretation of these probabilistic concepts in terms of realizations rather than the precision of simulation algorithms.
