The general impact of munition on the environment is caused by the original purpose of these energetic materials to fight against an object. By this impact also the environment will be in most ases badly injured. Beside this original object, the environment is threatened by the munition and its components in princible more or less during the whole life-cycle of the munition because of its energetic content, which may cause chemical pollution. During application or by an accidents, physical stresses by pressure waves, flames and also air- and ground pollution may occur.
