Abstract

IN THIS CASE STUDY WE AIM TO:

  • EXAMINE the nature of learning within organisations

  • CONSIDER how managers learn and what impact organisational processes, such as training and development, have on individuals’ learning

  • EXAMINE the attempt of one bank to become a ‘learning organisation’ and the mechanisms employed to facilitate individuals’ learning and development.
