Abstract

The steady working out and development of the vast assets under the original Rudd Concession has taxed the brain power and energies of even so capable a worker as Mr. Rhodes,’ said the directors’ report sent to the shareholders of Gold Fields in 1890. Later Thomas Rudd spoke proudly of ‘our vast holding, through the United Concessions Company, in the British South Africa Company’.
