Abstract

There are probably almost as many definitions of communication as there are writers on the subject, but accounts agree that communication is a basic non-stop human activity for getting and giving out information. This information is conveyed through organised systems or codes. These codes may consist of a relatively unstructured collection of signs or form a more elaborate language.
