Abstract

Aggression may be regarded as any form of behaviour that is directed at living or inanimate objects with the intention of causing physical or psychological harm or to gain an advantage. It is often thought of as taking the form of a physical and violent attack upon someone. However, it is more commonly expressed as a verbal outpouring of emotion towards a person. Its manifestation can be direct or indirect, active or passive, instrumental or hostile, impulsive or planned, overt or subtle.
