Abstract

Our guests have shown us the rich variety of thought that they, individually and collectively, contributed to the theory of nationhood. We now need to ask how important was the wark in this sphere of each of these men. What judgements have been passed on the originality, insight and depth of their writings? What influence did they exert? These kinds of questions will be posed for each of our contributors in turn.
