Abstract
The findings and lessons that come out from this study go beyond the realm of ‘academia’. We think that a series of suggestions as to new approaches and policies regarding the international transfer of technology can be derived from the experiences analysed. This chapter is devoted to a presentation of some of the referred suggestions with the expectation that the effort so far conducted can be also translated into ways and means according to which developing countries can make more efficient use of an up to now largely untapped ‘reservoir’ of technological assets.
