Abstract
Critics of the establishment perspective point to intra-elite conflicts as evidence against the theory. Since elites are often divided, they claim, one cannot posit a single cohesive ‘structure’. Rather, one must speak of a pluralistic, competitive set of elites. Divisions among elites, in turn, can be exploited by nonelites to make the system more egalitarian.
If the foreign system discriminates here, I am sure some day people will protest again. Allah never allows oppressive systems to be everlasting.
