Abstract

On 26 January 1951 Henri Queuille, the French Minister of the Interior, acting on advice from the Sûreté Nationale, expelled three of the four front organizations with headquarters in Paris: the World Federation of Trade Unions, the International Federation of Democratic Women and the World Federation of Democratic Youth. The fourth, the World Peace Council, was expelled three months later.1 They were all given one month to wind up their affairs in France.2
