Abstract

You may be feeling a little breathless by this last unit of the course. The last two units have covered a great deal of ground, enabling you to talk about both the past and the future. This unit looks at the different way of forming the perfect tense which is used for certain verbs of motion. Don’t feel disheartened because you haven’t mastered it all: it takes time to learn and to become confident at using different tenses. All this course is setting out to do is to introduce you to them so that your conversation is not completely restricted to the present tense. The practice which leads to fluency and accuracy will need to come after you have finished Breakthrough French, but the course will have given you the grounding to make that possible.
