Abstract
The revised compossibility clause outlined at the end of Chapter 3 requires that we establish a working definition of human freedom. The argument of line three of that clause is
Freedom depends logically upon the existence of a material order (A) and specifically upon certain aspects of that order marked as ∑(□a′), being the sum total of all components of (A) which are logically necessary for human freedom.
