Sources of Information: Books, Research and Data

  • Chapter

Abstract

This chapter is in three main parts. The first looks at the literature on the Northern Ireland conflict since about 1989 and concentrates on books and booklets. The second describes sources of information about research using three subheadings: registers and bibliographies; resource centres such as libraries and archives; and information services. The third part outlines the sources of quantitative or statistical data, and considers government sources, general and specialised surveys both national and local, and socio-demographic and economic data which may relate to the conflict.
