Abstract
A major concern of Athanasios Asimakopulos’s work was with presenting Keynes’s analysis as contained in The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money (Keynes, 1936, CW VII)1 in a careful manner that is faithful to the original. As a PhD student in Cambridge he went to Joan Robinson’s lectures and thus also became concerned with whether Keynes’s analysis could be extended to the long period. His last book on Keynes’s General Theory and Accumulation (Asimakopulos, 1991) documents well these longstanding research interests.
