Abstract

This chapter merely brings together many of the ideas discussed earlier. You should read it in conjunction with Chapter 9 and section 3 of Chapter 20. While regional imbalance is basically the result of frictions in the operation of the price system, the ‘multiplier’ effect of spending on different regions must also be recognised.
