Abstract

There is no shortage of literature on the subject of stress which offers practical advice on how to avoid experiencing stress or, once stress is encountered, how to cope with its effects or come to terms with its aftermath. A major focus in this type of book is what could be called the ‘health education’ dimension of stress management. This concentrates on matters of diet, exercise and so on.
