Abstract
Sad to say, but to most people, banks are boring. They may be necessary, handy, reliable, even helpful but they are not much fun. Advertisers have pillaged the imaginations of popular film-makers in a doomed attempt to give bankers a credibility that veers ever so slightly towards the dashing and modern, but it does not seem to work. In the end, apparently, there is a limit to the thrill that can be got out of looking after other people’s money.
