Abstract
In this chapter, some specific complete-denture problems will be discussed and methods of treatment described. The most common problems associated with complete dentures are pain and instability. Many of the causes have been described in earlier chapters but to give a simplified picture they are summarised in Table 15.1. The most likely main complaint has been indicated in each case. It should be remembered however that there is considerable overlap between the two columns as any cause of instability may additionally give rise to a complaint of pain.
