Abstract
Pharmaceuticals and biotechnology are high profile examples of modern scientific advance. In spite of this, there has been little systematic commentary on the variety of legal and regulatory issues which surround the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. This book attempts to make its contribution by describing some of the many points of contact between pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and the law. It will be seen that these sectors have, to a large extent, developed special and in some cases unique sets of laws.
