Abstract
The 1990s will witness changes in the four major geopolitical banking areas of the world — Europe, the United States, Japan and the Middle East. Some of these changes will be interactive, cutting across national and international boundaries to form a lattice-like network of cultural and financial relationships. These relationships will influence ethical codes and behaviour by bringing into play new mixtures of ethical traditions which hitherto have operated separately in their local markets.
